USERS REVIEWS:
For the $ these speakers are good. Installation is straightforward, and relatively fool-proof. I installed 6 in about three hrs (the wiring was alreay in place). The speakers do come in pairs. They are NOT higher-end speakers. To connect the speaker wires, you have to wrap them all around connection tabs, versus the regular “insert the wire in to the black or red connection point”.
Overall, I am pleased with them.

I received these speakers about a week ago and set up them right away. The 1st thing to note is that they DO come in pairs – I was not certain about this because I did not see this details anyplace. Needless to say, I ordered two, but I have a location for the other pair as effectively. Anyway, for anybody that knows something about speakers, seeking at the actual hardware, you can tell that these are not substantial-finish parts. The most disconcerting situation is that they do not have standard speaker wire connectors. I am not positive what the technical term is for the connectors, but essentially they are just metal tabs that I think are meant of soldering your wires onto… this is stupid and they should alter this, but I just cut additional exposed wire from my speaker cables and wrapped the wire close to them tightly – it worked fine. The packaging came with a wall template for slicing the hole in your drywall – this was quite helpful. Also, the speaker frames that lock into the wall work quite well. The installation other than the wiring was very straightforward. And the bottom line, I believe the speakers sound really very good. I am not making use of these speakers in my home theater set-up – I have some fairly high-priced Boston Acoustics speakers for that. I have these set up in yet another room. Stand-alone, they do not have the greatest bass – a subwoofer would repair this, but as secondary speakers in a complete home set-up, it all sounds good. I think they would function fairly properly in a home theater set-up as effectively, but like I talked about, you will need a subwoofer.

I have set up two sets of these now. For principal speakers of a easy program, or surround sound speakers they are more than satisfactory for the common residence consumer. If you are searching for speakers that will blow you away, you really should most likely search at speakers that cost much more than for a pair. In my situation I am using them as surround sound speakers for a basic basement system, and they operate just fine for that.
There are a handful of things to preserve in thoughts if you opt to purchase a set of these.
one) The speakers come assembled as they will be following you have mounted them in the wall So you have to dis-assemble them before you can mount them. Removing the grill, and get rid of the speakers from the mounting bracket by removing the six modest screws that holds them together. You have to do this in order to in fact use the mounting technique.
two) Instead of traditional speaker connections like you find on floor speakers, they have male rapid connect spade terminals, so you can either choose up a pack of the female crimp on ends at your nearby Radio Shack or AutoZone, or you can solder your wires straight on the terminals. I opted to solder mine on for the greatest feasible connection.
3) If you want to paint your speaker grill and mounting bracket a diverse colour than white you can simply do that ahead of you mount them. I advocate spray paint that is safe to use on metals and plastics. My second set is good dark gray now.
